Bringhurst Reunion 6/29-7/1/07

My immediate family had a reunion in Island Park, Idaho. We have 3 cabins there in the family. Some slept in cabins, some in 5th wheels, and others in enclosed trailers. There are now 72 of us, with 2 babies on the way this year. We missed Dirk and his family who live in Alaska; Ryan and Sean on their missions; Reid at work; Monica at work; and, as always, Trevor and Kylee who passed away 17 years ago. We had a great time together and celebrated birthdays for my nieces, Sarah and Hillary, while there.

Ethan was thrilled to go on the Saturday morning ride with the "Big Boys". The only helmet left was too big, so Grandma came to the rescue with a red winter hat for him to wear. He was hot, but much more safe!

My sister-in-law, Ashley, was the only one woman enough to go with them and was gracious enough to take Ethan. It was a highlight of the reunion for him.

Grandma got to babysit Hallie while Matt and Ashley were gone on the 4-wheelers. Caitlin stole her away for a minute.

While the guys and Ashley were gone, Susan and I took 9 kids and a dog on a bike ride. We rode to Island Park Reservoir, then McCrea's Bridge on dusty trails. It was my kids' first time riding on trails and my first time on a bike in probably 10 years. One child was also on training wheels. Brooklin and I kept falling on our bikes.

The dog kept jumping into the water then running and rolling in the dirt. It took us about 2 hours. We were hot, filthy, tired, and delirious when we were done.
