Halloween 10/25 - 10/31/08

Part 1 - Friday before Halloween
My brother & his wife have hosted an adult costume party at my parents' house for the past 3-4 years, but we have always lived out of state & couldn't attend. This year, since we LIVE AT MY PARENTS' HOUSE, it was simply unavoidable!!

Part 2 - Halloween Morning
Reid's co-workers had told him that Bob Allen pays $500 to the best costume each year. Reid thought it would be fun to dress-up for work since he had a costume already. So we "stone-washed" his jeans the night before Halloween, & this is how he looked when he left for work. (Keep in mind that, except for the owner, my husband is the boss to everyone there.) I called Reid to see how it went.---
D: So, how did everyone like your costume?
R: Oh, they all had a good laugh.
D: Really? What did they say?
R: They thought it was really funny - especially since I'm the only one.
D: WHAT?! YOU ARE KIDDING ME!!! HaHaHaHaHaHa

Nope! It was all a joke!!! He spent the entire day at work looking like THAT--while everyone else looked NORMAL!!! Hilarious!!! And he was a great sport about it!!

Part 3 - Halloween Night
The elementary kids dressed up for a parade at school, so we talked Caitlin into dressing-up after school so she wouldn't be left out. So Caitlin was a genie; Ethan, a mad scientist; Austin, a devil; Cameron, a vampire; & Brooklin, a witch.

We used red hair gel on Austin's face & it looked so great!! When it dried, it cracked & he looked even more CREEPY!! One of the little kindergarteners cried when they saw him. He was, however, anxious to get that stuff off his face!
