Our school has a tradition every year around Halloween. The sixth graders put on a "Wax Museum". It is a huge part of their grade. They each choose someone who made a difference in history to portray. They dress up as that person & stand still "as wax" in the hallways of the darkened school with only a flashlight shining up at them. When a person approaches, the wax figure gives a 1-2 minute speech about their life without saying who they are. Then the person must guess.
Caitlin was Catharine Coffin who was involved in freeing slaves through the Underground Railroad. Mrs. Coffin would make dolls for the little slave children who stayed in her home. Caitlin made that doll she's holding. It goes without saying that she has far better domestic skills than I!!
