Evel Knievel 12/10/07

Evel Knievel was laid to rest in Butte on Monday Dec. 10th. He was a HUGE Butte "hero", and the only famous person that I know of who was from Butte. I had planned to go to his funeral, but stayed home with a sick child instead.





If you want to know what "Butte people" are like, just look at Evel Knievel. He lived a hard life. He was tough and fearless. He didn't take any guff from anyone. In truth the more I learn about his past, the more I'd rather NOT know... However he is to be commended for the changes he made in his life in later years.

The sad part is that the "stars" who came to our little town almost upstaged the funeral itself!
