We heard there would be a "Christmas Stroll" & parade of lights here. So the kids all dressed in their snow clothes & we headed uptown for the festivities. We apparently missed the memo on where to go & what to do. I kept checking the newspaper, and thought it odd that they didn't post a route. It only listed where it began & ended.
The parade consisted of 3 ITEMS!!! Yes, a big 3!
- First there was the Butte High Band.
- They were followed by Santa waving out the top of a limo.
- And last was a trailer of lights full of people.
We were expecting a PARADE OF LIGHTS!! I forget we are in BUTTE!!
We were so frozen that some of the kids began to cry. (It's not like we were out there for very long!) It was extremely cold. We bought some kettle corn & watched them turn on the lights of a metal Christmas tree, then called it a night.
That event was about as thrilling as my pictures of it!!! Thus the kids affectionately deemed it the "Lamest Parade Ever". We decided to give it another chance next year, but this time we vowed to not leave the house until we have received the memo!!!

I should have warned you about that. It really doesn't get any better. It is like you said,"It's Butte!"
Like the new look! And I thought three things were pretty good...for Butte...
