Fight, Freeze, & FLAT! 5/8/09

Helena kids get out of school every year for "Vigilante Day". Starting in the early 1900's the high school students had a traditional "senior-junior fight". The battle got so bad that in 1924 the principal of Helena High started the Vigilante Parade to replace their more "lawless activities". The high school seniors make the floats & are the only ones in the parade. It was FREEZING COLD that day, yet I braved the parade with the kids, chairs, blankets, etc. while Reid was at work. We returned to our car to find a FLAT TIRE! Reid, trying to open a new dealership, was forced to come rescue us.We took the kids home & I hung out at the dealership watching TV & reading magazines for the afternoon while we got a new set of tires. It was NOT how I expected to spend a day out of school for the kids!!
