Ethan has always had an interest in Martin Luther King, Jr. In his 6 years of schooling he has done at least 5 reports on him, with some artwork, as well. He had another Essay due this week, and thus, we've been again studying MLK, Jr., and listening to his speeches on YouTube.
As I was reading his "I Have a Dream" speech to my kids, I was struck with emotion to think of the courage of this great man. He was blessed with the gift of speaking, and used that talent to stand for what he knew to be right, in spite of the difficulties it brought him and his family. He was not afraid (see his final speech), he had faith in a higher cause. He gave his life for this cause.

Sounds like someone else I know...

That's cool Ethan has an interest in MLK, Jr. Definitely someone worthwhile to study. Come to think of it, doesn't Ethan's birthday sometimes fall on MLK, Jr. holiday?
