Former NFL player Archie Manning spoke at the Opening Ceremonies for the convention. 
He's also the father to Peyton & Eli Manning. He talked about his oldest son, Cooper, finding out he could never play football again. On adversity, he said, "Will you become better? or bitter? Will you overcome it? or will it overcome you?" It was a great talk.
You might remember my post about the Cactus Cuties. They were there to sing some patriotic songs & were absolutely amazing!!

Did you guys get to see the ninth ward? Hopefully we can go to Louisiana someday to visit Isaac's dad.
We didn't get to go anywhere outside our little area. We simply didn't have time! They had shuttle buses to & from hotels around town, but we didn't get to explore! Next time we'll leave an extra day or two for that!!
