On Ice! 1/3/09

My niece called & asked if we would like to go sledding.

Since most of our winter clothes are in the storage unit in Helena, we went through Grandma's old snow stuff, layered-up, & put on our tennis shoes.We realized we wouldn't have anything to slide on, so we grabbed some garbage bags...

and some boxes (which worked great, by the way),

picked up a friend,

and hit the icy slope.The boxes soon fell apart and the garbage bags weren't working very well on the patchy snow...but our friend shared her glider,and the cousins brought a real sled to tow each other down with!It was so cold my camera quit working, & so icy that they couldn't get back up the hill,but they "skated" on the ice at the bottom of the hill & had a blast! The smiles said it all!!
