Brooklin 9/4/07

Brooklin will be so mad at me for posting this picture, but I couldn't resist. I found this on my cell phone a while back. I guess she and Caitlin were playing & this is her mugshot. Let's just hope that's the only one she ever has taken!!


Every Friday night is "Date Night" for me & Reid and "Movie Night" for the kids. So last Friday I had rented a movie called "George and the Dragon". When we came home from our date they were still downstairs watching the movie, so Reid & I stayed upstairs to watch a movie ourselves.

After a while Brooklin came up to tell me about the movie. Her voice was shaking as she told me that the knight had gotten hurt. Then she broke down - actually crumbled as she told me the next part. Before he died, the knight had told a little boy that he wanted him to replace him as protector of the princess. Brooklin was sobbing so hard she couldn't talk anymore & just hid her head in my chest.

We were so choked up witnessing it. When she got some control, I asked her what it was that made her cry. She said that it was "so special" that he wanted the boy to take his place. I wish I could've video taped it. It was absolutely precious.
