Ethan had his first scrimmage today...for about 20 minutes. Then the storm hit. It began to rain about 10 minutes into the game. Next came the hail, then the thunder, followed by nearby lightning! The game played on for about 5 more minutes while we stood and watched in the storm. Poor Reid had come straight from work in his suit and was soaked to the core. My makeup was smearing on my eyes. We were a mess!!! Why didn't I take a picture?! (Our other children were keeping "less wet" under the tires on the playground.)
They finally called the game. As we walked to the car in the buckets of rain, I noticed something odd with the people walking next to me. Their hair, although dripping wet, was standing on end with static electricity!! It was hilarious...and I'm glad we got out of there quick!! That lightning was too close for comfort!
