I want to ask your opinions on the privacy issue. My blog is marked "private", as well as my profile. I have also fixed my settings so that my blog doesn't send out "pings" to search engines and such. (I found info on this site: Tips for Bloggers - How to Make a Private Blog.)
I have thought about changing our names or just using initials. However, my blog address is under my last name. I would also need to delete an entry about my town, and I have labels I would need to change. – But my main concern is that my last name is there, so I haven’t done anything yet. I really don’t want to move to a new blog address and lose all my history. Not to mention that all my friends and family would need to be informed of a new address. Mom & Dad are just beginning to remember this one! (They have it bookmarked, but that's another story! - Love ya, Mom & Dad!)
I haven't been concerned about it much because you need to have the address to find my blog. But I do have links on a few other friends' blogs. I have people close to me who avoid the blogs for fear of creeps finding their kids, and they give me grief periodically regarding the safety of it.

I have never really thought about it. My last name and all my kids our on mine as well. I wouldn't worry to much about it. Now watch me say that and something happen. I have a few friends that blog and they sites are just as open as mine. I don't know if it helps but there is my two cents.

Privacy is a very big deal to me. I worry about the weirdos out there. Martie's House is actually my 3rd blog, and I am happy with the almost-total anonymity.
