If you know me very well, you know I don't care much for fame. In other words- they are just people, the same as you and me; or as I like to put it, I am not a "respecter of persons". So you may find this little adventure a bit amusing.
We were driving home on a road near the airport after volleyball & parties Saturday, when we saw a plane coming in for a landing above us. I pulled-over the car on the side of the road at the end of the runway, as we often do, when it dawned on me whose plane that was. You see, this was the night when Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton were BOTH going to be in our humble little town at the same Democratic dinner. I turned on the radio to hear Obama giving his speech, and realized that was Hillary Clinton's airplane. Many other cars were pulling over, so I hopped-out & caught some pictures.
Without regard to political standing, it was fun to talk with my kids about the former First Lady and possibly the first woman president being right there on that airplane. We waited around and saw the lights of the procession taking her to the Civic Center, but never did see her.
We went back out near the airport and were able to get this picture of Obama's airplane sitting right next to hers. We were able to get that close, but were behind a fence with a small group of onlookers. I must confess that I even called my dad & got him out of the Priesthood Session at General Conference to tell him all about it.

No Big Deal!

I would have hurried to make my protest poster but then I wouldn't have wanted to get audited. I guess I would have run away to the opposite side of town. Hummph!
