We attended my reunion for Highland High School Class of 1987 in Pocatello. It was so great to see all my old friends...no pun intended. I didn't even think to bring my camera. We went to the family picnic Saturday afternoon, where Reid was playing football with the boys while I visited. He jumped up to catch a pass and came down wrong. The kids came over & said, "Dad can't walk. He needs you!" I ran him to my parents' house, and later to the ER.
He had a nasty sprain & possibly chipped the bone.
His ankle swelled like a balloon. He was black and blue from the tips of his toes to the middle of his calf. He was an angel to continue on to the Reunion Dinner on crutches. --Can you believe the size of that thing?!
We received a call from Reid's brother, Ryan, late that night. He was being put in the Bishopric the next day in Morgan, Utah and wanted Reid to ordain him a High Priest. Early the next morning we headed off to Morgan in plenty of time, with my injured husband in the passenger seat. The car we were driving was not ours and over-heated the entire trip. By the time we arrived, Ryan had already been set apart by his Father-in-law. With a long drive to Butte ahead of us, we turned around and headed back to Montana. It was a disappointment, but the ordinance is still the same. It was great to see them for those few minutes.
