I took these with my cell phone. This is my favorite part of Evel Knievel Days. They haul in ramps and tons of dirt for the motocross show. It all happens in the middle of the streets. We were sitting on a grassy hill across the street from that building. This guy was doing a back flip on his dirt bike. Other favorites were the bullet bike stunts, the cycle crashing through the fire wall, and the guy who jumped over 19 cars on his motorcycle. Two F-16s did a fly by over his jump. There was also a rocket powered bicycle and a stuntman, on fire, jumping off the roof of Butte's tallest building into an airbag. This has to be my favorite part of living in Butte. They have this event the end of July every year. If you ever want to come, you will always have a place to stay!
The first event we saw was the ball of steel. The guy holding Brooklin was one of the stunt-men who rode his motorcycle inside the ball. He's wearing a funky Raiders hat. They actually had a woman stand inside while 2 guys rode their motorcycles around her. It was cool.
There's not just motorcyles. There was a woman carving wood sculptures with a chainsaw in the street just to the right of this picture. This indian was one she had done.
There was a mirrored car that followed the motorcycle parade which is usually led by Evel Knievel. He was sick that night and couldn't attend, so his son, Robbie, led the parade of hundreds of motorcycles. The middle of the trunk of the mirrored car had a bubble-blower exhaust that opened up & filled the street with bubbles.
They also had the military there. The kids were able to climb up into the tank, look through the scope, and learn how to fire the weapons.

I love this blog! Now I can see my cute family everyday! I'm impressed, Darci, with your technology abilities:). All is well with us. We just put our condo up for sale. Exciting! Love ya!
Austin corrected me. HE took the picture of the motorcycle in the air with my cell phone! Good Job, huh! Good luck with the condo, Lesley & Isaac!!
That last picture cracks me up--how Brooklin's only wearing one shoe. The other shoe is in her hand! LOL
Okay, Caroline. I hadn't even noticed Brooklin's shoes! That is hilarious!
